PREY - Created mimic & human rigs

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Co-managed technical art tasks with the production team to ensure milestone deadlines were met.

  • Worked closely with the art, animation, programming, and design teams to help integrate content for gameplay systems

  • Supported content scaling, including naming conventions and tool export validation.

  • Supported content debugging and provided solutions.

  • Helped manage character outsourcing and provided technical documentation guidelines.

Technical Art:

  • Establish the Art Tools pipeline including UnitTest builds and perforce integration

  • Wrote art tools to manage Cryengine character pipeline

  • Wrote Maya batch exporter

  • Setup Character GLOO blend shapes

Rigs:

  • Humans, Mimic, Phantom, Telepaths, Cystoids, Poltergeist, Tentacle Nest, Weaver

Technical Animation:

  • Maya PyQt4 character pickers

  • Copy paste relative character controller positions relative to any controller.

    • Used MayaAPI inverse matrix to solve relative Matrix delta​

  • Build the facial animation pipeline FaceFX > Maya > Cryengine 3

    • Supports 11 languages for localization

    • Setup FaceFX batch processes for nightly builds

  • Setup Motion Capture animation retargetting
